Virtual Conference Free of Charge
As the last year, also this edition of I-CiTies will be virtual because of the pandemic situation not yet completely over. For this reason, the participation in the Conference will be free of charge.
I-CiTies 2021 is a Virtual Conference
Current trends in the global Covid-19 pandemic make it very unlikely that we will be able to hold a physical conference in Salerno in September 2021 with sufficient assurances of safety. Thus, I-CiTies 2021 will be held virtually. We believe that going fully virtual is the right way forward.
This year the organizational effort is shared among some of the Smart Cities & Communities lab members who have kindly made themselves available to support the organization of the panels.
The whole team working on the organization is fully committed to making the virtual event an awesome experience for everybody.
Looking forward to eMeet you all!

I-CiTies 2021
September 22-24, 2021
University of Salerno - Fisciano (SA), Italy | Virtual Conference
ICT for Smart Cities
The term smart is frequently misused today. A city becomes smart only when it can offer services that can properly take into account the real and priority needs coming from its population. Those services have to be therefore context-dependent and support the achievement of city-specific goals. Smart city solutions have to be multi-disciplinary, blending together socio, cultural, and technical aspects alltogether. In this context, ICT becomes the means to move from problems to digital solutions.
About the conference
The conference, at its seventh edition, is an opportunity for people from academia, industries and public institutions to meet and define new collaborations in the perspective of next national and international project calls. It is not intended to disseminate theoretical scientific activities. Instead, its main goal is to present available innovative solutions and active research projects, as well as novel ideas for new project proposals.
